I went to Control Pa...Hello,<br /><br />Thanks for the post.<br /><br />I went to Control Panel -> Uninstall a program<br />(in "Control Panel Home" view) and double clicked Kaspersky. Just as a trial I clicked on repair option instead of uninstall. Twice during the process of repairing I was asked if I wanted to replace some file and I clicked yes. At the end of the process I selected "Update manually" option so that I have more control in the future and selected "Restart". My desktop was restored after startup. <br /><br />Perhaps the problem occured after Kaspersky did some updates? I had set it to automatic update and it had run updates on several occasions without causing any problems.<br /><br />I have a brand new Kaspersky license and so would really like to use it for sometime.
